Argo is a private, on-device arrival reminder for caregivers.
Important: Argo is a supplemental reminder. It does not detect whether a child is present, prevent heatstroke, replace adult supervision, or guarantee that an alert will be delivered. Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle.
Set up Argo
- Allow notifications.
- Allow location access and select Always when iOS offers that option.
- At the destination you want to remember, tap Mark location here.
- Use Test alert to confirm notifications are working.
Common questions
Why does Argo need background location?
iOS needs background location permission to notify Argo when the device enters the saved region while the app is not open.
Why did an arrival not appear?
Check that Location Services are on, Argo has Always access, notifications are enabled, and Low Power Mode or system restrictions have not delayed background activity.
Does Argo upload my location?
No. Argo has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or cloud database. The saved region and event log remain on your device.
How do I erase the event log?
Use the Clear control inside Argo. Removing the app also removes its local data.
